Synopsis: Ivan Everley, 13th Baron Rothvale, will tell you himself he's the LAST person on earth who should have custody over a priceless collection of art, but since when does the irony of life ever fall in line with what somebody wants? Ivan might be a Lord according to British law, but he's just a regular guy with an appetite for speed...and women...and some dominating kink in the bedroom. Yeah, just a regular guy who happens have Olympic gold medals stashed away in his house. Riiiight. His public profile is merely a sham--his private life a carefully guarded secret borne out of the pain of betrayal. Even his famous cousin, Ethan Blackstone, doesn't know the whole story about the man he considers a brother.

Lord Ivan has a plethora of problems piled up to his aristocratic eyeballs--that only get more complicated when a beautiful art conservationist shows up to appraise his inherited collection of paintings--but that doesn't stop him from digging himself in deeper. Nope, not a bit. Once Ivan gets a taste of Gabrielle Hargreave, mistaken identity or not, he can't think of anything else but how perfect she felt in his arms the night he first laid his eyes on her.

He wants her, and what Ivan wants, Ivan gets. He is Lord Ivan after all. Gabrielle soon discovers that the Dom in him isn't taking 'no' for an answer. But, yet, Gabrielle Hargreave might just teach our discontent lord a thing or two about life, and about himself, and help them both discover the undeniable truth in what it means to find something genuinely...priceless.

What I Thought:

Lord Ivan was a character I found very intriguing in the Blackstone Affair novels. He was jaded and unafraid even with death threats against him.  I always wanted to know more about him and where the ennui came from.  I also loved getting to know Gaby, even though I feel like she's hiding a lot more than Ivan.

Ivan and Gabby have amazing chemistry.  From their first interaction, all the way through the last page, I was hooked.  I thought it was wonderful the universe was conspiring to throw them together, but somehow they found a way to do it on their own.  I read this book in a matter of hours, but felt like it was minutes instead.  Thankfully the book didn't end on a cliffhanger, otherwise I might have lost my mind since the second part of The Rothvale Legacy hasn't been published yet.

I'm really looking forward to finding out what happened to Gaby and Ivan in the past to make them they way they are now.  Both of them are broken in ways and I'm hoping they can somehow find a way to lean on each other while they find themselves.  Of course doing so also leaves them raw and vulnerable, so I hope they can do it as painlessly as possible.  I'm also looking forward to seeing Ethan, Brynne, and the rest of Ivan and Ethan's family members.

I've read three of the four Blackstone Affair novels and now one from The Rothvale Legacy and I've enjoyed all four novels immensely.  Raine Miller does a wonderful job of immersing her readers into the world she's created.  It's really hard to not be affected by her stories and fall in love with them.

About the Author
Raine MillerRaine Miller has been reading romance novels since she picked up that first Barbara Cartland book at the tender age of thirteen. And it's a safe bet she'll never stop, because now she writes them too! Granted Raine's stories are edgy enough to turn Ms. Cartland in her grave, but to her way of thinking, a hot, sexy hero never goes out of fashion. A former teacher, she's now writing sexy romance stories full time. She has a handsome prince of a husband, and two brilliant sons to pull her back into the real world if the writing takes her too far away. Her sons know she likes to write stories, but gratefully have never asked to read any, thank God! Raine loves to hear from readers and to chat about the characters in her books.
